Hirundini - Texts and stories

Discover the texts, the translations and the stories behind “Hirundini”, the new album of Hiram Salsano and Marcello De Carolis between voice, chitarra battente and the South of Italy contemporary.

“We are children of this return: free to fly, but the memory is planted in the mud and in the heart.
Hirundini is the story of a geography invisible. Like the swallows ‘ crossing the border, bringing with them the memory of a course of a thousand years.
Linstinct of the migratory gives you the freedom to go and come back, to inhabit the heaven of experimentation without ever losing the memory of the archaic land.
The voice blends with the chitarra battente, creating anarchitecture
of sound where the memory is not a limit, but a compass.
It’s the flight of those who know that to be truly free you have to have a land to return to, and a leaven ofclay capable of redrawing the world.
